Mo Chibuye is Hong Kong based painter working in oil on canvas. She graduated with honours from the University of Chicago, before earning a Master of Education from Harvard University. Her work draws from supermarket shelves, kitchen cupboards, and medicine drawers -the unremarkable objects that hold quiet memory.
Each painting in Bottled Emotions isolates a single bottle against a flat field of colour, treating the everyday with the reverence of portraiture.
